Many people fail to comprehend the immeasurable importance of vegetation
on this planet. No animal life could exist without green plants and the
oxygen they create. Yet this planet's protective layer of flora is being
destroyed at an alarming rate and along with it, the delicate balance of
the planet's water and soil. All over the world, rare plants are disappearing
as their habitats are bulldozed, burned, grazed, or paved over. Here is
